This slogan was chosen to appear on the red and blue wristbands that commemorate Matt Stanley by his Mooroondu Soccer teammates (at Thorneside, in the Redlands.)
The wristbands read:
Stanley * Forever Young (Stanley star forever young)
Forever Young is the name of one of the songs played as a moving tribute at Matt’s funeral.
In another show of respect, Matt’s touch football team, also in the Redland Shire, have named themselves R.I.P.S (Rest In Peace Stanley).
At each game the team runs on the field with just five players (instead of six) in honour of their lost teammate.
