The Matthew Stanley Foundation works closely with the Queensland Police and the community to educate the public – specifically young people – about preventing youth violence.
Youth violence affects everyone and takes an enormous toll on society. The Foundation aims to alert schools, church and community groups and individuals to the risks young people face at parties and in the community generally.
It has been involved in the distribution of Queensland Police Party Safe brochures (www.police.qld.gov.au/party), particularly in the Redlands area where Matt lived, One Punch Can Kill campaign and speaking engagements where youth are directly targeted.
The Foundation is keen to have input from the public about ways to further this crucial message.
